Conquering this Home Addition Project

Home additions can cause design challenges.  Drexel Designer: Kris Ballard rose to the challenge and conquered this amazing addition for the Bowe family.

Design Challenge:  The homeowner added a brick wall within the addition, causing minor challenges with cabinet and appliance doors.

Challenge Answered: Kris recognized the brick wall placement would cause concerns with microwave and corner cabinet doors opening properly.  Kris implemented a few creative design techniques to ensure the doors would have plenty of room to function properly.

The customer selected a two tone design, using the same cabinets but different colors between the walls and the island.

The result: a warm feeling throughout space, that draws your attention to the center island.
