The students of Oostburg High School wanted an area for coffee along with space for a cash register; a spot for an Ipad to run the transactions and open shelving for items to be displayed. The students completed an overall design of the finished product as they had a great vision for how they wanted this to turn out.
The transaction counter was initially designed with a glass counter top and sliding glass doors for ease of viewing the items on display. To keep the project within budget, we eliminated the glass counter top and sliding foors in exchange for the replacement of cabinetry in the front with open shelving allowing items to be displayed. Behind the transaction counter is a locked drawer for the cash register and some more open shelving for overstock. The back base cabinets and counter tops serve as the Coffee area.
Drexel Building Supply was excited to complete this commercial type project and help contribute to achieving the Oostburg High School students vision. Community outreach goes a long way!
