Kids & Community Award

Drexel Building Supply has been a very strong partner to the Tri-County Club over the years. For nearly 15 years, Drexel has been supporting the Boys & Girls Club. From their management team to their employees, the Drexel team has always been there for the kids of this community and they are quick to raise their hand to help. Craig Johnson, Store Leader, has been particularly critical to the success of the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area. Joining the Board of Directors in 2003, Craig was passionate about providing excellent services to the children of this community. Craig served as VP and President of the Board and he currently chairs the Great Futures Annual Fundraising Campaign. Over the years the Drexel team has always supported the Club’s special events. More recently, with the thought of new Boys & Girls Club on the horizon, Craig & the Drexel team surfaced as key leaders to the project. Craig served as chairman of the construction committee and provided essential support to the capital campaign that would eventually raise $6 million dollars. Drexel was also a key contributor to the building project. Not only did they donate financially, but also gave their time and talents. Craig spent hundreds of hours during 2014 and 2015 working to ensure the new Club was built on time and on budget. When the Club needed assistance the team at Drexel would always step up. Many employees volunteered their time in the evenings or weekends to help haul supplies, install equipment and build shelving. Drexel Building Supply is a tremendous friend to the Boys & Girls Club and we are so thankful for their support.
