Eagle Scout Project with Travis Erath

Supplying Happiness in Wrightstown

Drexel believes that to encourage the growth and interest in the building industry it’s important to support our youth and the building projects they pursue. Travis Erath a local Eagle Scout tackled a project and Drexel had the opportunity to of donate the timbers used for the project.   It was a success, and below we’ve shared the details from the Eagle Scout himself.

From Eagle Scout: Travis Erath

“My project started on 9/22/17. The first day we dug the perimeter to place the railroad ties/timbers. Once we were done digging, we poured screenings to give the timbers a base and level anything out. Then we laid down a base for my fire pit out of stones and poured the screenings around the fire pit. We finished the day with pouring the rest of the screenings and then compacting them. The second day we got more screenings and then spread them out. The third day we started cutting the bases for our benches. Then for the next two weeks I would sand, paint, build, and varnish the logs and the log stands. Then on the last day we dug holes and placed in our benches.

The friends of the Grignon home are grateful for the fire pit and demonstration area. Once again thank you, it wouldn’t have been possible without your donation”.

Sincerely,

Travis Erath
